Tell us a bit about you?

I have been part of Davidsons for over 20 years and I am based at our Shotts office. My career has been built on a solid foundation of in-house training programs, developed in collaboration with SAC College, combined with extensive hands-on experience on farms. I have also completed specialist courses such as Cow Signals, enabling me to provide practical, results-driven advice to our customers.

What’s your role, and what do you do day-to-day?

As a Dairy Tech Feed Advisor, I work closely with our team of consultants to deliver tailored nutrition solutions that improve livestock performance and farm profitability. I partner with our customers to provide expert advice on animal nutrition while actively promoting our comprehensive range of high-quality products.

What’s your favourite part of the job?

The variety—every day brings fresh challenges, from on-farm visits to problem-solving and product planning. I value the strong relationships I’ve built with customers and the opportunity to make a measurable difference to their results.

What makes you stand out from other consultants?

My customers trust me because I’ve worked alongside them for years, helping them choose the right feeds to achieve their performance goals. I go beyond product supply by offering ongoing communication, nutrition advice, and a reliable delivery service. My combination of technical knowledge, practical experience, and commitment to customer success sets me apart and keeps my clients coming back.

What do you do in office to make you different to others?

I deliver fast, reliable, and knowledgeable responses to every enquiry—ensuring my customers get the right advice exactly when they need it. I quickly assess each situation and provide clear, tailored recommendations that drive results. My role goes beyond simply supplying feed—I work alongside farmers as a trusted advisor, helping them make informed decisions that boost herd health, productivity, and profitability. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing the measurable, positive impact our advice and products have on a customer’s success.

What inspired you to purse this career?

My passion for agriculture, particularly livestock and animal nutrition, has been the driving force behind my career. Joining Davidsons allowed me to combine that passion with a company that values hands-on experience, technical expertise, and strong farmer relationships. Over the years, I’ve built a reputation for delivering results, earned the trust of my customers, and gained a wealth of practical knowledge that I use every day to help farms thrive.

What are your hobbies outside work?

I enjoy spending time with my family, riding horses and walking my dog, I also love dining out, trying new food and wine.
